Terms and Conditions

Cluelinked provides digital, phone-based murder mystery kits and event-running tools. A kit may include host guidance, character material, scene prompts, clues, evidence, player pages, final accusation flows, and other game material.

Cluelinked does not provide a physical venue, catering, props, supervision, live hosting, safety management, transport, alcohol, food, or in-person event services unless we expressly agree this with you in writing.

Hosts may need an account to buy, redeem, configure, or run a kit. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for telling us promptly if you believe your account or event links have been accessed without permission.

Players may join an event using invite links or tokens. Invite links are access credentials for a specific event and should only be shared with the intended participants. Cluelinked does not require hosts to enter player contact details to create room or private player links. If hosts choose to send those links through their own email, messaging, or social channels, hosts are responsible for using those channels lawfully and only contacting people they are allowed to contact.

During the closed beta, paid checkout may be disabled and access may be provided through beta access keys. Sections about purchases, Paddle, billing, taxes, refunds, and paid entitlements apply only where paid checkout is enabled or a paid transaction takes place.

Paid purchases are processed through Paddle. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for paid transactions and may handle payment processing, tax, invoices, receipts, and payment-related customer service. Paddle may appear as the seller or billing descriptor on your checkout, receipt, invoice, card statement, or payment account.

Your right to access and use a Cluelinked kit is provided by Cluelinked under these Terms. After Paddle confirms a successful payment, we will grant the relevant kit entitlement to the purchasing account. Access may be delayed if payment confirmation, fraud checks, or webhook processing is delayed.

Prices, taxes, currencies, and available payment methods may vary by location and may be shown through Paddle checkout. You must not attempt to bypass checkout, payment controls, entitlement checks, or access restrictions.

When you buy or redeem a kit, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use that kit through Cluelinked for private social games with invited participants, subject to any player count, format, and access limits shown on the product page.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, you may not resell, sublicense, publish, distribute, upload, extract, copy, convert, publicly perform, commercially host, or make paid event use of Cluelinked kits or underlying game materials. For commercial hosting or paid event requests, contact support@cluelinked.com.

Hosts are responsible for their physical event, guest list, venue, safety, accessibility, timing, house rules, and participant conduct. Hosts should make sure the chosen mystery is suitable for their group and should give guests any practical warnings or adjustments needed for their event.

Players are responsible for using invite links sensibly, keeping private character information within the intended game, and taking part in a respectful way. Cluelinked is designed for social play, but we do not control what participants say or do offline.

Cluelinked mysteries may involve fictional crime, suspicion, secrets, betrayal, deception, death, conflict, or similar dramatic themes. Product pages may provide spoiler-free tone and fit information, but the game experience necessarily includes mystery and surprise.

You are responsible for deciding whether a kit is appropriate for your group, setting, age range, and event. Cluelinked is not intended for emergency use, safety advice, legal advice, medical advice, or any real-world investigation.

Beta, preview, demo, and test features may be incomplete, changed, withdrawn, reset, or unavailable at any time. Beta access does not guarantee continued free access, launch access, future purchases, or a particular final feature set unless we say so in writing.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or similar input, you allow us to use that input to improve Cluelinked without owing you payment or attribution.

We aim to keep Cluelinked reliable, but we do not guarantee that the website, checkout, account tools, invite links, realtime updates, event state, or kit access will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at a particular time.

We may maintain, update, repair, suspend, or change the platform where needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, product improvement, or operational reasons.

Cluelinked and its kits, story materials, characters, clues, evidence, scene structures, designs, software, branding, and related content are owned by or licensed to Cluelinked. Except for the limited licence in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You retain any rights you have in names, contact details, custom player inputs, feedback, or similar information you provide, but you allow us to process and display that information as needed to provide the game, support users, secure the service, and improve Cluelinked.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and, for paid orders, through Paddle's payment and refund process. You can read our current Refund Policy at /refund.

Nothing in these Terms or our Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you by law.

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to the above, Cluelinked is provided for private entertainment use. We are not responsible for losses caused by your offline event arrangements, participant conduct, venue issues, poor internet access, device problems, failure to follow product requirements, or uses of Cluelinked outside these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or business losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, or loss of opportunity.
