1. About This Policy
This Refund Policy explains how refund requests are handled for paid Cluelinked digital murder mystery kits. Cluelinked is operated by Zoltan Aldott, trading as Cluelinked, of Zoltan Aldott / Cluelinked, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
This refund policy applies where a paid transaction takes place.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you by law.
2. Digital Products
Cluelinked kits are digital products. They are delivered through a Cluelinked account, library, host dashboard, and player invite links rather than as physical goods.
Because digital kits can be accessed, configured, and used immediately, refund rights may depend on whether access has begun, whether the kit has been used, and what consumer laws apply in your country.
3. Paddle Payments
Where paid checkout is enabled, paid orders are processed through Paddle. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for paid transactions and may handle payment processing, tax, invoices, receipts, and payment-related customer service. Paddle may appear as the seller or billing descriptor on your checkout, receipt, invoice, card statement, or payment account.
If a refund is approved for a paid Paddle order, it will normally be processed through Paddle back to the original payment method. Please do not send payment card details to Cluelinked support.
4. When Refunds Are Usually Available
- You were charged twice for the same kit because of a duplicate transaction.
- You bought the wrong kit and contact us promptly before using it.
- Your paid entitlement is not delivered and we cannot fix the issue within a reasonable time.
- The kit is materially faulty, inaccessible because of a Cluelinked issue, or materially not as described.
- A Cluelinked-controlled outage or platform fault materially prevents a paid live game from being run as intended, and we cannot provide a reasonable workaround or replacement access.
- A refund is required by applicable consumer law, payment rules, or Paddle's buyer processes.
5. When Refunds Are Usually Not Available
- The kit has been used to create, configure, start, or run an event.
- The host or players have substantially accessed kit content, clues, character material, or solution material.
- The event did not go ahead because of venue, guest, weather, travel, internet, device, or personal scheduling issues outside Cluelinked's control.
- You changed your mind after the digital content had already been made available and used.
- The request relates to misuse, account sharing, resale, unauthorised commercial use, or a breach of our Terms.
6. Cancellation Rights for Digital Content
Some customers may have a legal right to cancel a digital content purchase within a cooling-off period. Where the law allows, that right may be lost once you request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that access can begin before the cancellation period ends.
When paid checkout is enabled, Cluelinked checkout should ask you to agree to the Terms and Refund Policy and to request immediate digital access where this is required by law.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, use the refund or support links in your Paddle receipt where available, or contact support@cluelinked.com.
Please include the email address used for purchase, the kit title, the Paddle transaction ID or receipt details if available, and a short explanation of the issue. Do not include card numbers, security codes, or payment passwords.
8. Review and Timing
We may check account, entitlement, event, and access records to understand whether a kit has been delivered, accessed, configured, or used. We may ask for extra information if needed to assess the request.
If a refund is approved, timing will depend on Paddle, your payment method, your bank, and any applicable payment scheme rules.
9. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a purchase, please contact support or use Paddle's refund process first. Chargebacks may delay resolution and may result in suspension of the related entitlement while the payment dispute is investigated.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Refund requests are usually assessed under the policy in place at the time of purchase, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
